Royal Over-Seas League Singing Award
Presented by the Royal Schools Music Club
History of the Award
In 1997 the Royal Schools Music Club was approached by the Royal Over-Seas League WA Branch (ROSL) with the suggestion that the Club hold an annual singing competition.
Co-operation between these two organizations has continued to this day, all prizes being donated by the ROSL, while all the organization is carried out by the RSMC.
The prizes have increased over the years, due to the generosity of the ROSL.
Prizes are currently $1000 for first prize, $600 for second prize and $400 for third prize.
The Royal Over-Seas League Award for Young Singers is held every year, in August, and is open to singers aged from 15 to 21 years of age.
